About
A consulting firm built where operations, business and story meet.
Nelnationale exists because the hardest problems our clients face never arrive labelled as one discipline.
Our story
Started at the seam, stayed there.
The firm began with a specific, unglamorous observation: in industrial organisations, the most expensive failures happen in the gap between functions. The control engineers know the plant. The IT team owns the network. Neither owns the space between them, and that space is where downtime, breach and audit findings accumulate.
We started by working in that gap. The work pulled us outward: into operating model design, because architecture problems are usually accountability problems; into communications, because technical organisations lose contracts they should win; and into career advisory, because the professionals who understand these systems are moving between markets that cannot read each other’s résumés.
Today Nelnationale runs six practices from 4 offices across two continents. The connective idea has not changed: hold the threads together, and be honest about what we find.
How we operate
Four things clients can hold us to.
Say the uncomfortable thing early
A finding that will embarrass someone does not improve with age. We raise it in week two, privately, with a proposed remedy attached.
Evidence over assertion
Numbers get a source. Recommendations get an assumption list. If we are estimating, we say we are estimating.
Build capability, not dependency
Every engagement includes handover. We would rather be called back for the next problem than retained for the last one.
Local knowledge, international standard
We know how procurement actually works in Port Harcourt and how hiring actually works in Calgary. Neither excuses a lower standard of work.

Working with us
What a first engagement usually looks like.
- 01
Scoping call
45 minutes, no charge. We establish whether the problem is one we can help with.
- 02
Written proposal
Scope, team, timeline, price and assumptions, in plain language, within a week.
- 03
Diagnostic or sprint
A short, defined first phase with a concrete deliverable so you can judge us cheaply.
- 04
Decide together
Continue, hand over, or stop. We will tell you if stopping is the right call.
Next step
Start with a conversation, not a proposal.
Tell us what is not working. We will tell you honestly whether we are the right firm for it, and what a first engagement would look like.
