Career Strategy & Planning

Target role definition, realistic sequencing and a search plan with weekly targets.

Overview

Newcomers are usually told to apply widely, which produces hundreds of applications, no replies and a collapse in confidence within four months.

We define two or three genuinely reachable target roles, sequence the path to them, and build a search plan with weekly targets you can actually work to.

What is included

  • Experience and skills audit
  • Target role identification and reality-testing
  • Sector and employer research
  • Realistic sequencing, including bridge roles
  • Salary benchmarking for the target market
  • Licensing and certification pathway guidance
  • Weekly search plan with measurable targets
  • Progress review and course correction

Work the plan with scheduled reviews and adjustments.

  4. 04

Questions

Before you enquire

What if my target role is not realistic yet?
We will tell you, and map the bridge roles that get you there. That is more useful than encouragement.
Do you help with licensing?
We guide the pathway and sequencing for regulated professions. The assessments themselves are handled by the regulator.
Is this only for people in Canada?
No. Much of our work is with people preparing before they arrive, which is the better time to start.
